Hi, I’m Danielle! Welcome to Big Muddy Orchard.

Seven years ago I planted a small orchard of plums, peaches, apples, quince, apricot, elderberry, mulberry, and chestnuts. I’ve dragged my kids into the woods to teach them how use them as free labor to pick wild mushrooms, raised a flock of illegal chickens (and re-homed them), grew murderous bull thistle by accident, and fell in the mud more times than I can count. If you ever need to find me, depending on the day, I’ll be pulling or eating the weeds that never stop growing around here.
